Facade Renovation | Terra Cotta Rehabilitation
Project Details: Examinations and investigations of the historic and iconic building’s facade were performed for this 40+ story stone-clad high-rise. Terra cotta existed at the lower levels in decorative banding and window surrounds while limestone cladding and decoration covered the upper levels.
Examinations revealed delaminated limestone, corroded anchors, and deferred maintenance items. Design documents were developed to address deteriorated conditions and provide maintenance repairs to stabilize and rehabilitate the facade.
