Roof Replacement
Project Details: Kankakee Community College desired to replace the existing roof on Academic Building L. The total replacement area was nearly 20,000 square feet. The design called for the removal of the existing roof system to the deck, removal and salvage of metal coping cap, and installation of a new 60 mil TPO single ply adhered roof.
Additionally, new roof deck insulation and new roof accessories were installed. Due to variances between as built drawings provided by the client and field measurements, roof cores were taken to determine deck slope and insulation thickness to reduce overall cost while following the design intent.
