New Processing Facility - Special WasteDisposal
_edited_edited.jpg)

Project Details: Special Waste Disposal engaged Carlile Architects to design a new, state-of-the-art processing facility for non-hazardous, non-toxic liquid waste. The facility includes overhead doors for offloading liquid waste that cannot be discharged into the sanitary sewer system. These materials are consolidated into solids prior to landfill disposal. Recessed concrete pits provide containment for the liquids, allowing them to be absorbed with specialized materials before removal. Dedicated roll-off dumpster bays support efficient transfer of the solidified waste to landfill sites.
The facility spans over 10,000 square feet and is constructed as a single-story structure with a concrete foundation and a steel building envelope. It is fully heated and incorporates integral consolidation pits, liquid waste holding tanks with integral containment areas, designated staging areas for absorbent materials, and processing zones.
Additional building features include a dual-bay loading dock for incoming materials, a mechanical room, and a dust collection system. Designed in full compliance with stringent Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, the facility prevents leaks and leaching of contaminated liquids into the soil. This project represents a cutting-edge solution for the safe handling, processing, and disposal of liquid waste.
