Manufacturing Facility Addition
Project Details: CSL Behring, an international pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, embarked on a 300,000 square foot expansion in Bradley, Illinois in 2014.
Carlile Architects was engaged to perform construction administration for the three-building project and scheduling for more than 16 subcontractors. Work included, but was not limited to, intensive direct coordination with all project contractors, including guidance and expectations for schedule development, as well as on-site coordination, weekly progress documentation, and coordination of RFI logs.
The Kankakee County expansion increased the production of plasma used in the manufacturing of albumin and immunoglobulins, used in the treatment of rare diseases such as hemophilia and Immunodeficiency.
