Project Details: In collaboration with the Godley Park District, Carlile Architects designed a new park pavilion to serve as a central hub for community gatherings, events, and recreation. The pavilion featured a fully equipped concession kitchen with a central island, rolling service window, resilient tile flooring, touch-less faucets, and high-performance coatings for ease of maintenance and durability. Restroom facilities were outfitted with commercial-grade fixtures, polished concrete flooring, and skylights to bring in natural light. The building was constructed of durable concrete masonry block with exposed wood trusses, blending functionality with the natural aesthetic. The enclosed building portion, including the kitchen and ADA accessible restrooms, totaled approximately 845 square feet. An additional 800 square feet of covered patio space beneath the pavilion roof provided shaded seating for tables. The design emphasized convenient access to existing ball fields, durability, ease of upkeep, and a welcoming atmosphere that supports use by park visitors and community groups.
