YES, YOU HAVE MOLD

Does my home have mold?

Clients will often tell me that they are concerned that their home may have mold in it. Every home has mold in it.

Every time you open an exterior door mold spores enter the house on the air current, carried in on your shoes, or Fido transports some old mold spores right into the house. The trick is not to provide a growing environment for mold. Excess moisture via humidity, improper ventilation, plumbing or roof leaks are the most common causes of mold growth.

A thorough mold assessment will determine if further air quality and sampling is necessary. The mold assessment is used to determine if there is visible substance that is suspected to be mold or other conditions that would promote mold growth.

It is important to always work with a certified professional inspector.
